The four new contracts include the 153-unit Fountain View complex at 2301 E. Market St. in Long Beach, the 232-unit Club Pacifica at 21042 E. Arrow Highway in Covina and the 80-unit Luis Moreno at 1113 Rancho Frontera Ave. in Calexico. The fourth contract is for the Seasons at San Juan Capistrano II, phase two, consisting of 38 units that were recently added to an existing multifamily complex at 27271 Paseo Espada in San Juan Capistrano. Western National has been managing the 112 units in phase one at Seasons at San Juan Capistrano since 2008.
The new contracts follow the expansion by Western National into the Phoenix market earlier this year as part of its plans to grow its third-party management business and to expand its geographic reach. Shelton, who relocated to Southern California from Phoenix when he took over the reins of Western National, said at the time that the firm would look to expand into Phoenix and other markets as part of its growth strategy.
Western National Property Management is the property management arm ofWestern National Group, a 45-year-old multifamily firm that also operates acquisition, development and construction divisions. In addition to Western National Property Management, the other four entities under the Western National Group umbrella include Western National Realty Advisors, the development and acquisition arm of the firm; Western National Contractors, the construction arm; Multifamily Ancillary Group, which specializes in optimizing ancillary income for owners; and Resident Group Services, the landscaping and appliance services and rental arm.
