Wasserstein funds also own significant media holdings, such as Penton Media, which publishes National Real Estate Investor and Lodging Hospitality, among other titles. His funds also own The Deal and New York magazines.
Wasserstein also owned ALM's Real Estate Media Group and the company's law-focused titles before selling them to Incisive Media in 2007. Incisive and ALM split earlier this year.
