The project involved a remodeling of the 40-year-old Campus Center building interior and replacement of an exterior glass wall system. Designed by LPA Inc. of Irvine, the 47,065-square-foot Campus Center will provide services for the 29,000 students at the college and will include a cafeteria and a dining facility.

The Campus Center expansion project also required the demolition of an existing one-story bookstore and construction of a newly designed two-story building, doubling the size of the bookstore. The 19,970-square-foot bookstore building also houses the campus police department and a student business services center.

The project included site work, upgrades to underground utilities, landscaping and construction of two bridges that connect the bookstore building and campus center to the main entrance of the college.
