According to executives at HAS Commercial Real Estate, which negotiated the deal, Alutiiq has plans to use the space for logistics and storage services in order to provide furniture and equipment for the Veterans Health Administration Medical Center at the Great Lakes naval Station here in North Chicago.
The facility's location provides easy access to both I-94 and I-294. The lease rate and other terms were not released.
Alutiiq is a part of Afognak native Corp., an Alaska Native Corporation that specializes in operations and maintenance and logistics services. The company also handles construction services, security training and information technology services for the government,
HSA's Douglas Reed, SVP in the industrial brokerage services sector, represented both the landlord and new tenant in the deal.
