Frager points out that Freeman brings experience in organization building, contract negotiations, growing sales and creating strategic partnerships primarily in the wireless technology and health care industries, and that the new COO/CFO's background will provide "new perspective that we feel will help drive growth as we head into 2010."
Freeman joins Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial from DriveCam Inc., a technology company dedicated to mitigating risk by improving driver behavior and assessing liability in collisions. Before that, he worked at San Diego-based information technology health care startup Patientline Systems as COO and CFO, where he was responsible for all business operations, including marketing, customer operations, product development, legal, finance and human resources.
Freeman spent nearly a decade at Intel Corp. in a variety of positions, including financial controller and director of strategic marketing. At Grubb & Ellis|BRE he succeeds Brent Rivard, who held both positions and left the company to become a senior officer at RJL Wealth Management.
