The building, which will be developed by park owner ING Clarion, will be located at 6348 Walker Ln. ING Clarion acquired the office facility, which is located in the east Springfield submarket, in 2006 for more than $200 million. Tenants in the park are largely government contractors. Earlier this year, Calibre extended its space at 6354 Walker to 80,520 square feet.
VSE, which has been in its current location for more than 40 years, chose Metro Park because of its location in Fairfax County and proximity to key customers and mass transit, according to CEO Maurice Gauthier. Its new building will be designed for LEED Gold certification, and is expected to deliver in 2012. VSE did not return a call to GlobeSt.com in time for publication.
