In Westwood, LRN Corp. signed a five-year, $6 million renewal for approximately 30,000 square feet at Equity Office Properties' 1100 Glendon Ave. building. The landlord was represented by vice president Brendon McCracken and the Madison Partners leasing team of principals Chris Houge and Hunt Barnett along with directors Beau Rawi and Karly Nolen, who also represented the landlord in a second deal at the building. LRN was represented by Jeff Cowan of Studley. In the other deal at 1100 Glendon, Microsoft Corp. signed a five-year lease was was represented by Brian Niehaus and Mike McRoskey of Jones Lang LaSalle.
[IMGCAP(2)]Also on the Westside, tenants have signed for 43,000 square feet at Equity Office Properties' 10960 Wilshire Blvd. office building and for 10,000 square feet at Equity Office's 10940 Wilshire Blvd. building. At 10960 Wilshire, residential and commercial real estate company Cardinia Real Estate LLC has signed two lease renewals, a five-year deal for 15,000 square feet for approximately $3 million and a 23,527-square-foot renewal and expansion for four years for approximately $4 million. Equity Office was represented internally by Andrew Goodman and by the same Madison Partners leasing team as at 1100 Glen don. Cardinia was represented by Lee Feld of Feld Real Estate.
Also at 10960 Wilshire, law firm Freilich, Hornbaker & Rosen signed a five-year lease renewal and was represented by Craig Miller of Stone Miller. Law firm Seeger Weiss LLP signed a three-year lease and was represented by Jake Bobeck of Cushman & Wakefield.
At 725 S. Figueroa St. in Downtown L.A., also known as Ernst & Young Plaza, law firm Monteleone & McCrory, LLP signed a lease for 12,319 square feet. The tenant was represented by Transwestern executive managing director Jonathan Larsen, along with vice president J.D. DeRosa. The landlord, Brookfield Properties Management LLC, was represented in-house by John Barganski and Chris Dillavou.
Larsen comments, "We were able to restructure the lease early to lock in on lower rental rates and save the tenant a significant amount of money." Monteleone & McCrory has been a long term tenant at Ernst & Young Plaza, he notes.
At the 10940 Wilshire building, Haworth Marketing & Media Co. signed for 4,000 square feet and the InterGroup Corp. and Entrix Inc. both signed for 3,000 square feet. Equity Office was represented in all of the deals by the same leasing team as it was in the leases at 10960 Wilshire and 1100 Glendon.
Haworth, an independent media firm, signed a four-year lease and was represented by Bryan Dunne of CB Richard Ellis. InterGroup, which owns, manages and operates real estate, signed a seven-year deal and was represented by Eric Broida and Morgan Malouf of Broida Commercial. Entrix, an environmental consulting firm, signed a three year deal and was represented by Jerry Hess and Brian McCorduck of Cushman & Wakefield.
