The properties in which the Defense Department renewed space are 1101 Wilson Blvd. for 47,600 square feet; 1400 Key Blvd., for 83,740 square feet; 110,000 square feet in 1401 Wilson Blvd.; 36,390 square feet at 1501 Wilson Blvd.; and 1515 Wilson Blvd., where the agency occupies 15,780 square feet.
Charles Dilks and Kurt Stout from Grubb & Ellis Co. represented landlord Monday Properties. TC Hairston of the General Services Administration, along with Mett Miller and Todd Valentine of Studley represented the Department of Defense. The renewal was managed internally at Monday Properties by Tim Helmig and John Wharton.
In a separate deal earlier this year, the GSA signed an 11,000-square-foot expansion at 1101 Wilson. Originally GSA occupied 20,000 square feet in the building. All together, GSA occupies over one million square feet in other buildings throughout Monday Properties' Metro DC portfolio.
Monday Properties has been nurturing its extensive Rosslyn portfolio since it acquired it in May 2007. The 10-building, 2.5 million-square-foot office portfolio represents 30% of Rosslyn's office market, and includes the 1.1-million-square-foot Twin Towers; 1101 Wilson Blvd., a 325,830-square-foot office; 1200 Wilson Blvd., which is 145,702 square feet; the 280,259-square-foot 1701 N. Fort Myer Dr.; the 359,724-square-foot 1400 Key Blvd. and 1401 Wilson Blvd.; the 241,844-square-foot 1501-1515 Wilson Blvd.; and the 82,326-square-foot 2990 Telestar Ct.
