General Imaging intends to occupy its new space during the first quarter of 2010, leasing the majority of the fifth floor at Toyota Plaza, in a relocation of its headquarters from elsewhere in Torrance. Terms of the deal with Toyota Motor Sales-USA, which was represented by Thacher Goodwin and Douglas Brawn of Colliers International along with Stephen Cramer of Jones Lang LaSalle, were not disclosed. Asking rates for the space are $2.25 per square foot per month, full service gross.

Toyota Plaza, built in 1986, totals approximately 173,854 square feet. The building is 95% occupied, with tenants including Toyota executives, Toyota University, law offices, technology firms and investment brokers.

Wubbena notes that General Imaging is also establishing a new warehouse and customer service location, also based in Torrance, commencing in early 2010. He also represented General Imaging in the lease for that facility, which was a long-term deal with T.M. Commercial Properties LLC.
