Waggin' Train is a leading supplier of natural jerky treats for dogs and also manufactures a number of other all-natural dog treats. According to Bryan Bentrott, MDC executive vice president, the new tenant chose the building for its significant rental discount for companies relocating from Orange County or expanding from adjacent markets. In addition, the building "offers excellent freeway access and a convenient location for workers living in the Inland Empire," Bentrott says.
Waggin Train was represented by Jeff Brown of Stream Realty of San Antonio, TX. The landlord, West Corona Granite Commerce Center LLC, was represented by Walter A. Frome and Bill Livesay of the Irvine office of Voit Real Estate Services' brokerage division.
The lease, which took effect Jan. 1, is valued at $1.3 million. The West Corona Commerce Center has 200,000 square feet of space available.
