In addition to responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Los Angeles area, Hunt will oversee the Grubb & Ellis offices in Ontario, Anaheim and Newport Beach. His focus will be on improving profitability, recruiting professionals and expanding client relationships, the company says.
Jack Van Berkel, chief operating officer and president of real estate services for Grubb & Ellis, cites Hunt's success in growing and improving the company's Los Angeles operations and says that Hunt will play a key role in the growth of Grubb & Ellis in the new markets he will be responsible for as the company focuses on providing clients with integrated real estate solutions.
Before returning to Grubb & Ellis in 2008, Hunt spent three years as a managing director of Eastdil Secured, where he was responsible for business development, strategic planning and more than 170 professionals. Before joining Eastdil in 2005, he was with Grubb & Ellis as executive vice president and area manager of Los Angeles. He began his career in 1979 and spent more than 20 years with Cushman & Wakefield.
