Chicken-sandwich chain Chick-fil-A has some serious expansion plans. The Atlanta-based chain is opening 78 new locations this year.That number is down slightly from the 83 it opened in 2009, but this is still good news for a retail industry that is plagued by store closings.The chain is also entering the Chicago area with its first stores there. The company currently operates just over 1,400 units in 38 states.Can Chick-fil-A's expansion make up for some off the store closures we've seen, like the 1,800 stores Movie Gallery is shutting?
