Noble, a 30-year veteran of commercial real estate, is a Lee & Associates principal based in the City of Orange, where Downtown L.A.-based AIR maintains an office. He recently succeeded Douglas Earnhart of Lee & Associates in Ontario as president of AIR.
Noble says that AIR is proceeding cautiously in considering the sharing of data and services with others. "At the same time, we recognize that because of a fundamental shift in our industry, data sharing is an idea with which AIR can comfortably take a leadership position," Noble says.
Looking into data sharing is part of a "mission to uncover new opportunities for broker services," for AIR members, Noble explains. He says that the organization's goal is to find new opportunities while at the same time remaining "prudent in monitoring costs as an association during these challenging economic times."
AIR is a nonprofit corporation with more than 1,750 real estate professionals in over 400 firms located in the eight-county Southern California area, representing approximately 95% of the brokerage community. Formed in l960, it provides specialized standard industrial/commercial lease forms and purchase order forms for industrial and office real estate. Its Internet-based CDX system provides access to multiple sources of property data on every building in a given market.
In addition to Noble, new officers of AIR and composing its executive committee are Joseph M. Vargas of Cushman & Wakefield in Long Beach, president elect/long range planning; David M. Harding of CB Richard Ellis in Universal City, vice president/multiple director; Corey Spound of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas in Los Angeles, vice president/education chair, and Jason K. Jamison of GM Properties Inc. in Whittier.
