[IMGCAP(2)]The two execs who were promoted to lead the growth of corporate real estate finance and government services throughout North America are Bret Hardy and Darrin Kennedy, both based in Downtown Los Angeles. Hardy will serve as executive managing director of corporate real estate finance and Kennedy will serve as executive managing director of government services for the Colliers corporate solutions division.

[IMGCAP(3)]Formerly, Hardy and Kennedy served as managing directors of Colliers International's Integrated Real Estate Solutions Group, which is headquartered in Los Angeles and delivers financial advisory and real estate consulting services to public and private sector clients on a global basis. The two will continue to co-lead IRES in addition to their new roles as executive managing directors.

[IMGCAP(4)]Also in its Downtown office, Colliers has recruited Shawn Bakke as an SVP to specialize in single-tenant net-leased retail properties on a national basis. Bakke previously was vice president of investments and a director of the net leased properties group at Marcus & Millichap, where he began his commercial real estate career in 2002.

[IMGCAP(5)]Also in Downtown L.A., William Gloege has joined Colliers as vice president after working at C&C RiverRock for just over a year. Gloege has more than 10 years of real estate experience and will be specializing in office properties, handling landlord representation, tenant/buyer representation and investment sales.

In Irvine, Colliers has recruited David Atkinson as a VP specializing in tenant and landlord representation with a focus on office properties throughout Orange County. Before joining Colliers, he spent seven years at DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services, where he most recently served as a vice president of brokerage services.

[IMGCAP(6)]In the company's Encino office Brock Burnett has joined an associate working with Jeff Albee and team, handling office and retail leasing assignments in the San Fernando Valley. Burnett has four years of industry experience and joins Colliers from Jones Real Estate.

Martin Pupil, senior managing director for Colliers International's Greater Los Angeles Area operations, said that the promotions and new hires are part of the firm's ongoing efforts to strengthen and expand its service offerings as well as part of the company's strategic expansion in Greater Los Angeles. The moves follow the strategic combination that Colliers International and FirstService Real Estate Advisors created early this year when they unveiled plans to combine their operations and global real estate platforms.
