Terms of the transaction were not disclosed; a release describes the Vinson & Elkins deal as a long-term lease. It adds the remaining 6,972-square-foot portion of the 41-story office tower's 27th floor to the energy law firm's existing space. In a statement, Kushner principal Jared Kushner pronounces himself "delighted that one of the world's most prestigious law firms has decided to continue to grow its New York practice here at 666 Fifth."
Lewis Miller of CB Richard Ellis represented Vinson & Elkins, while Tishman Speyer Properties' Tod Koltis and Peter Brindley spoke for the building owner. Founded in 1917 in Houston, Vinson & Elkins today has offices in 12 cities worldwide in addition to New York and Houston.
