LOS ANGELES-CB Richard Ellis has named Sherry Bower to the position of managing director for asset services in the five-county Southern California region, a post in which she will oversee more than 80 million square feet of managed properties and lead over 200 employees. The region includes Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange counties.

Bower, a longtime CBRE executive who most recently was a member of the company's Leadership Center faculty, will work closely with Cindy Burger, managing director in Orange County, and the asset services teams in Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire. She will divide her time between offices in Los Angeles and Orange County.

Bower’s primary responsibility will be to deliver real estate management solutions to new and existing clients as part of CBRE’s integrated services platform, according to Barry Katz, senior managing director of asset services for the western division. “Property owners today require a more holistic approach to their real estate strategy, and want a services provider that can deliver integrated solutions that address all aspects of the real estate cycle including capital markets, leasing and management," Katz commented. He cited Bower's extensive experience in both the transaction and management sides of the business as keys to CBRE's integration efforts in Southern California.

Bower, before serving on CBRE's Leadership Center faculty, led the company's Orange County region as senior managing director, a role she relinquished at the end of 2007. Subsequently she joined the Leadership Center’s faculty, training and teaching all levels of personnel, from managers to newly hired brokers. Since 2008, she has been providing coaching, training and strategic business planning for teams throughout Southern California. She began her career at CB Richard Ellis in 1982 in the Beverly Hills office. She has held a number of management positions in both brokerage and asset services, and has served in a number of offices including Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Anaheim, Riverside, and South Orange County.
