About 300 people are expected to attend the conference, which will host a total of 33 speakers, says Jason Young, producer of the event for the RealShare Conference Series. "We're going to focus on the opportunities across the property sectors," Young says. The half-day conference, which starts at 7 a.m., will take place at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel.

Panels include a Town Hall Meeting led by Shawn Mobley, president of Brokerage Services at Grubb & Ellis; an Office Outlook moderated by Steve Stratton, regional managing director with Jones Lang LaSalle; and a Multifamily Forecast with Debbie Corson, principal with Apartment Realty Advisors. The conference will also include two panels focused on overcoming and capitalizing on today's challenges: "With Dislocation Comes Opportunity – Surviving Today's Capital Crisis," moderated by Jeff Dowd, principal with the Reznick Group PC; and "Opportunities in Distressed Assets and Debt," moderated by Michael Baum, a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig LP.

Young says this year's event will also feature a new panel made up of industry leaders, dubbed "The View from the Top," which will present the market "from the CEO level." The panel will include Bruce Cohen, chairman and CEO of Wrightwood Capital, Thomas D'Arcy, president and CEO of Grubb & Ellis, and Dylan Taylor, CEO, USA, of Colliers International, with moderator Louis Cohen, partner and chairman at DLA Piper LLP.

The conference is part of a year-long series of events produced by ALM's Real Estate Media Group, which is the publisher of Real Estate Forum, GlobeSt.com, and the Distressed Assets Investor newsletter.
