OAKLAND, CA-Burnham Brown has renewed 40,000 square feet at 1901 Harrison St. in Oakland. The business counseling and litigation firm has been at the 272,000-square-foot property for 20 years.
Grubb & Ellis Co.’s Christopher Johnke, senior vice president of the office group and Cale Miller, an associate of the office group represented the tenant. The 16-story property’s landlord, CIM Management Inc., was represented by Kenneth Meyersieck of Colliers Parrish International in the transaction.
Grubb & Ellis says that it was a “long-term” lease extension at the class A building, which is located in the city’s central business district, but tells GlobeSt.com that they cannot provide further lease terms or any further information at this time.
CIM Management purchased the 1901 Harrison St. building as part of a five-asset $412.5-million purchase from Brandywine Realty Trust 2008. At the time, the company “identified Oakland as an urban market with strong growth potential.”
