HAZLETON, PA-Higgins Development Partners sold a 400,260-square-foot warehouse/distribution asset here to Exeter Property Group for $12.9 million. Grubb & Ellis brokered the sale of the building, located at 68 Green Mountain Rd., in the Humboldt Industrial Park.

There was a lot of buyer competition for the class A facility, says Steve Bonge, a Grubb senior vice president who brokered the deal with SVP Tim Brogan and vice president Patrick McBride, who are all based in the firm’s King of Prussia office.

Higgins constructed the building in 2006. Graham Packaging leases 168,630 square feet of the asset, and the rest is available for occupancy.

Exeter, based in Plymouth Meeting, owns Pennsylvania office and industrial buildings in Allentown, Harrisburg, Langhorne, Malvern, Mechanicsburg and York. The firm also owns assets in other parts of the Northeast and in the South and Southeast.

Grubb is marketing 35 industrial properties from Harrisburg to Philadelphia on its website. The industrial market is the fifth largest in the country, making up 426 million square feet, the firm says.
