DALLAS-Though always considered a stable property type compared to other sectors, more institutional investors are interested in student housing assets. "I think it's more attractive than its ever been," said Bill Bayless, president and chief executive officer of American Campus Communities.

It didn't hurt that the sector wasn't hammered like others during the recession. Bayless spoke with GlobeSt.com Editor John Salustri here at the recent RealShare Student Housing conference.
