| The Big-Blip - 06.08.2010 It was only a few short weeks ago that we were all beginning to feel pretty good, upbeat, and ready for the recovery. The Dow was moving well above 11,000, the job numbers looked good, factory output was rebounding, and firms set in motion the construction of organizational platforms geared for the recovery. And then, the great European experiment began to crumble. The European Union is, at best, a mess. First it was Greece, and now, Hungary is on the financial edge, and others are sure to follow. Closer to home, the Gulf of Mexico is a scary muddy mess, with consequences that none of us (including the DC gang) have yet to fully comprehend. Economic recovery is built on confidence, and unfortunately the last month has produced an environment of “no-confidence”. The anticipated double-dip correction may be upon us, but let’s hope that it’s only the Big-Blip.
