MCLEAN, VA-Mortgage rates for 30-year loans have increased for the first time in 12 consecutive weeks as Americans attempted refinancings in the middle of low borrowing prices.

Freddie Mac said that the average value of 30-year fixed loans rose to 4.35% this week from 4.32% while the average value for 15-year fixed rate loans remained unchanged at 3.83%.
