CITY OF COMMERCE, CA-Voit Real Estate Services has launched a new office here, the ninth operated by the Newport Beach-based company, and has named senior vice president David Fults to head the new operation. Fults, who formerly served as first vice president of CB Richard Ellis, will continue his 12-year partnership with Brian McLoughlin, senior vice president of Voit Real Estate Services’ Los Angeles office. The team, which specializes in Los Angeles, has completed more than 12 million square feet of transactions with a total consideration of more than $700 million since January 1998.
Voit's operations are expanding based on client demand, according to Robert D. Voit, the company's CEO. He says that the new location marks the establishment of a presence in a key market and is another element of Voit’s “boots on the ground” campaign to place its professionals directly into the markets it serves throughout the Western US.
Following the opening of the Los Angeles office this month, Fults and McLoughlin directed the sale of a 30,963 square-foot industrial property for approximately $3.4 million, which was above-asking price. Senior associate Ryan Lewis also joins Fults and McLoughlin in Voit’s new Los Angeles office. Lewis has former commercial real estate experience at CB Richard Ellis and Grubb & Ellis, where he most recently created a full-service brokerage team to serve local and institutional clients in the San Gabriel Valley.
Fults and McLoughlin initially joined Voit at the company's Anaheim office, according to a previous GlobeSt.com report. At the time, Kurt Strasmann, managing director for Voit’s Orange County region, noted that the company had hired eight new brokers this year alone and that revenue was up 40% year-to-date. Strasmann pointed out that the firm’s “commitment to having ‘boots on the ground’ is not just a matter of geographic reach, but is also a matter of depth within each market."
