NEW YORK CITY-Cushman & Wakefield said Tuesday that it’s been hired by United Technologies Corp. as preferred service provider on the Hartford, CT-based conglomerate’s 52-million-square-foot North American real estate portfolio. Through its global Client Solutions group, C&W will provide transaction management, project management and strategic advisory services for UTC’s 1,600 properties.

In a release, Stephen Forino, UTC’s director of global real estate, says the company intends to “leverage the full spectrum” of C&W’s integrated service platform “as we continue to drive value from our North American real estate assets.” At C&W, Mark Wanic, relationship manager for the UTC account, says his firm plans to identify opportunities that achieve synergies and optimize the full value of UTC’s world-class portfolio.

UTC’s brands span the gamut from air conditioning solutions to helicopters. They include Carrier, Otis Elevator Co. and UTC Fire & Security, all headquartered in Farmington, CT; Hamilton Sundstrand, located in Windsor Locks, CT; Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT; Sikorsky Aircraft, headquartered in Shelton, CT; and UTC Power, based in South Windsor, CT.

Revenues for the second quarter, the most recent for which figures are available, reached $13.9 billion, a 5% increase year over year.
