NEW YORK CITY-RealtyTrac reported that the number of foreclosure filings increased 3% to 347,420 in September 2010 when compared to that of August 2010, while the same is up 1% compared to that of August 2009.
The number of assets foreclosed by lenders in September 2010 was also on top of the century mark in a single month to 102,134. The foreclosure notices increased 4% in Q3 2010 compared to that of Q2 2010, while foreclosure filings decreased 1% compared to that of Q3 2009. For the full story, go to Reuters.
