WASHINGTON, DC-The team, which is preparing to transform Walter Reed Army Medical Center, has plans to convert the campus's buildings, which sit on the 60-plus acre of land in Northwest Washington, into a mixed-use development.
The reuse plan of the District, followed by the Walter Reed Local Redevelopment Authority, features 2.2 million square feet of new development, which includes a 90,000-square-foot office space, 200,000-square-foot retail space, 850 residential units and 40 acres of open space.
