BETHESDA, MD-Capital One is moving its headquarters a short distance away to 2 Bethesda Metro, an office building owned by Chevy Chase Land Co. that sits on top of the Bethesda Metro Station.
The bank has inked a 10-year, 22,025-square-foot lease, taking the entire tenth floor in the building. The lease is a relocation for Capital One, which will move from its offices at 7501 Wisconsin Ave.
Transwestern agents Jovi McAndrew and Guy Copperthite represented Chevy Chase Land Co., in the deal. Brian Raher & Neil Narcinsenfeld of Cushman & Wakefield represented Capital One. Other tenants include American Capital Strategies Ltd., America’s Most Wanted, GE Capital Corp. and McCormick & Schmick Seafood restaurant.
A 290,318-square-foot, 15-story, class A office building, 2 Bethesda Metro Center was built by the Chevy Chase Land Co. in 1999. Transwestern and C&W were unable to return a call to GlobeSt.com in time for publication.
