WASHINGTON, DC-The National Association of Realtors has reported that pre-owned home sales increased 10% in September 2010, a positive sign in the housing market. However, the value has decreased 19% when compared to that of September 2009.

The average price of pre-owned home sales in September 2010 stood at $171,700, a 2.4% decrease when compared to that of the previous year. Total housing inventory reached 4.04 million pre-owned homes for sale in September 2010, a 1.9% decrease from that of August 2010. For the full story, go to Detroit Free Press.
