
NEW YORK CITY-Google is drawing close to a deal to buy the 111 Eighth Ave. office building in Manhattan for a price close to $2 billion. Google already occupies space in the 18-story tower measuring 2.9 million square feet in Chelsea.
Google would pay around $690 per square foot for the building. Jamestown, the New York State Common Retirement Fund and Taconic Partners are the sellers who are hoping to change the capital structure of the building. For the full story, go to New York Post.
