BALTIMORE-A proposed shopping center, which is slated to be developed on an 11-acre land in Remington, has obtained preliminary approval in a Baltimore City Council vote. The zoning for the shopping center located at 25th Street Station was introduced by Councilwoman Belinda Conaway.

Belinda Conaway said that the project would bring jobs to the community. Two community groups that represent residents of Remington have split on the development. The final zoning permission would be granted by the council next week. For the full story, go to Baltimore Sun.
