CHICAGO-Whirlpool Corp., a Benton Harbor, Michigan-based manufacturer of home appliances, has opened a showroom in River North. The manufacturer has leased about 30,000 square feet in the Reid Murdoch Center, a 325,000-square-foot office building situated at 325 N. LaSalle St.
The showroom will have laundry rooms, working kitchens and it will be used to train designers. Chicago-based Friedman Properties Ltd. is the owner of the building, which also has Encyclopedia Britannica's headquarters. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
