CHICAGO-SMG and Global Spectrum have applied to manage McCormick Place, a 2.6 million-square-foot convention center in Chicago, while Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. and International Facilities Group LLC have rejected the opportunity.
SMG and Global Spectrum were the ones who have answered the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority's invitation to run the convention center.
