PEEKSKILL, NY-Peekskill city situated in the Hudson Valley hopes that the construction of living-and-work loft spaces for middle-income artists would boost its commercial center. The president of Peekskill Art Lofts, a 28-apartment project, Thomas Leigh has said that it would be harder to fill the units.
Three units in the apartment are now up for sale. The lofts, opened in 2002, have single-bedroom and double-bedroom units. They are built as a co-op and range from 1,200 to 2,000 square feet. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
