LOS ANGELES-Hager Pacific Properties has added Jason Schirn as a principal who will be responsible for identifying value-added opportunities for industrial properties and supervising the repositioning of the assets for the investment firm. Rob Neal, a managing partner with Hager Pacific, notes that Schirn has been working with the company since the fall of 2009 to acquire several Southern California industrial properties. Similar to most transactions completed by Hager Pacific, these deals were closed quickly and without a financing contingency, Neal points out.
Schirn commented, "In 2009, when the real estate market was truly paralyzed, Hager Pacific demonstrated its financial strength and long-term commitment to the Southern California industrial real estate market by closing deals when there were few other buyers."
Schirn began his real estate career in 2001 with Hager Pacific, where the firm’s three partners taught him the company’s investment approach. From 2003 to 2008, he was vice president at Proficiency Capital, where he developed and renovated industrial properties. In total, Schirn he has been involved in the acquisition of more than $100 million of industrial real estate in Southern California during his career. Before his real estate career, Schirn produced ESPN’s Cable Emmy Award winning program Up Close Prime Time with Roy Firestone.
