IRVINE, CA-California Coastal Communities Inc., a homebuilder located in Irvine, is looking for a court approval for a $15-million funding deal for its 356-unit Brightwater project located close to the Bolsa Chica wetlands in Huntington Beach.
California Coastal filed for bankruptcy last year. The slow sales at the Brightwater project would affect the firm's potential to settle ongoing expenditures. So far, about 100 units have been sold, with only about 20 of that in 2010. For the full story, go to Orange County Business Journal.
