CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA-With the signing of a 449,000-square-foot lease for distribution space, Port Logistics Group has become the largest L.A. County customer of ProLogis, the Denver-based REIT says. The PLG lease is for distribution space at Industry Distribution Center Building Six at the intersection of the 60 and 57 freeways.

“With this lease, PLG is now our largest customer by square footage in Los Angeles County,” said Patrick Maloney, first vice president and market officer for ProLogis in Los Angeles. Southern California, where ProLogis has a portfolio of 48.8 million square feet, "remains the largest distribution market in the United States," Maloney noted. Additional ProLogis customers in the area include Anixter, FedEx, Home Depot, Kraft, Nike, Oakley and PepsiCo.

Port Logistics Group is a provider of gateway logistics services, including value-added warehousing and distribution, transloading and crossdocking, vendor consolidation and transportation. ProLogis is the a global provider of distribution facilities, with more than 475 million square feet (44 million square meters) of industrial space owned and managed in markets across North America, Europe and Asia. The company leases its industrial facilities to more than 4,400 customers, including manufacturers, retailers, transportation companies, third-party logistics providers and other enterprises with large-scale distribution needs.
