NEW YORK CITY-The Department of City Planning has conducted a hearing for its proposed rezoning plan for Webster Avenue situated west of Bronx Park and the New York Botanical Garden.

According to the plan, nearly 80 blocks would be rezoned and a mixed-use project comprising 720 housing units and 100,000 square feet of office and retail space would be developed. In the 720 units, about 20% will be allocated for low-income family. The City Planning Commission will vote on the issue by March 2011. For the full story, go to Wall Street Journal.
