CHICAGO-First Bank & Trust Co. of Illinois has registered a foreclosure suit in order to collect nearly $2.9 million on a vacant site next to West Town Center. Both the parcel and the shopping mall, which is not part of the suit, are owned by Chicago-based Joseph Freed & Co.
According to the suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court, the loan issued in 2006 on the site at 1650-54 W. Division St. came due in March 2009. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business.
