BERLIN-Hochtief Projektentwicklung plans to build a seven-story office building here for two divisions of the Protestant Church. The two organizations have signed 20-year leases for the 250,000-square-foot building.
The social arm of the Protestant Church in Germany (Evangelisches Werk) and the Protestant Church Development Service will lease most of the new building, to be located in the Mitte district, the historic center of the city. The two clerical organizations will merge in 2012 to become the Evangelisches Werk fur Entwicklung und Diakonie.
Construction will start soon on the new building on the corner lot of Caroline-Michaelis-Strasse and Invalidenstrasse. The building will also include a public caf
