ZURICH-The real estate team at locally-based Sal. Oppenheim has agreed to open up an office as a Jones Lang LaSalle affiliate as of Feb. 1. This will be the first full office in Switzerland for the Chicago-based firm, thought JLL already partners with two Swiss companies.

Jan Eckert, previously the head of the local real estate division, has been named the CEO of the JLL office. The company will focus on the local management of real estate transcations and structures, development and management, valuation of real estate assets and real estate companies, corporate finance, and merger and acquisition advice.

Switzerland is a desired growth marke for JLL, said Christian Ulbrich, CEO of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Asia division. He said in a statement that the office here will also be used to assist Swiss capital in targeting and participating in the global real estate markets. Jones Lang LaSalle will continue its relationship with Kuoni Mueller & Partner here and Schofield & Partners in Geneva, he said.
