KEY WEST, FL-Deerfield Beach-based SIKON Construction has started construction work for the new Florida Keys Community College Student Housing Facility, a 43,000-square-foot facility consisting of 100 beds in Key West. The company has signed the contract, which amounts to $4.8 million, with Student Suites South Florida LLC.

The three-story project, designed by St. Petersburg-based Hayes Cumming Architects, will be first student housing for FKCC. The project is expected to be completed by September 2011. For the full story, go to Florida Real Estate Journal.
