NEW YORK CITY-AECOM Technology Corp. said Friday it’s forming a new construction services business line that’s intended to provide an integrated delivery platform to clients worldwide, tapping Tishman Construction president John Livingston to lead the new venture. A spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com the new line, known as AECOM Construction Services, is “a cohesive unit” that blends AECOM’S design and engineering experience with Tishman Construction’s 100-plus years as a builder.
“Our objective is to continue to grow in our core regions and expand in key markets by tailoring our services to client demands in both the public and private sectors,” Livingston says in a release. Livingston has been with Tishman Construction, which AECOM acquired for $245 million in July 2010, for more than 17 years. Dan Tishman continues as vice chairman of AECOM and chairman and CEO of Tishman Construction, according to the release.
Headquartered in Los Angeles with New York City offices at 680 Third Ave., AECOM says its Construction Services business line will provide program management, cost-management consulting services, owner’s representation, construction management as agent and construction management at-risk services to public and private sector clients globally. The move is part of the ongoing integration of AECOM and locally based Tishman Construction, the release states.
“The formation of the Construction Services business line is an important part of AECOM’s strategy to meet our clients’ project needs, from conception through planning, architecture, engineering, and construction, and ultimately delivery and commissioning,” AECOM president and CEO John Dionisio says in the release. “We now offer a full suite of integrated delivery services in the form of design-build, public-private partnership, and other turnkey arrangements.”
When AECOM acquired Tishman Construction this past summer, Tishman said the sale represented “the logical next step in the continued growth and success” of his company, “allowing us to expand our reach globally and seize new opportunities as part of the worldwide AECOM team.” Tishman Construction has no business connection to Tishman Speyer Properties, although both were originally formed by the Tishman family.
