
NEW YORK CITY-Borders Group Inc.'s bankruptcy filing may provide space for seven retail landowners in New York locality. The giant bookseller is planning to shut down 7 of its 19 stores in the New York region.
The dispositions will dump empty retail space totaling 95,150 square feet in New York City, along with the 31,212-square-foot Borders located at 100 Broadway near Wall Street.
