NEW YORK CITY-Shorenstein Properties has filed a suit to foreclose on 1180 Sixth Ave., a 400,000-square-foot property owned by The Carlyle Group and Murray Hill Properties. The partnership acquired the 23-story building situated between West 46th and West 47th streets in 2007 for $300 million.

Shorenstein retains mezzanine debt on the property, and it is not clear how much the partnership owes Shorenstein. Sources have said that Shorenstein has filed the foreclosure suit within the last few days. For the full story, go to Crain's New York Business.
