JERSEY CITY-New Jersey’s tallest rental building, the two-tower Monaco here has received its first temporary certificate of occupancy. The 50-story, 524-unit complex at 475 Washington Blvd. on the Jersey City waterfront is being co-developed by Roseland Property Co., Garden State Development and Hartz Mountain Industries.
“We have not taken reservations on any apartments, but we are already working through an accumulated list of approximately 200 interested residents from our pre-leasing online media campaign and from our signage,” says Carl Goldberg, a Roseland Property partner. “The market has not had a new luxury rental in a long time, and there is significant pent-up demand.”
Rents will start at $1,600 for studio apartments and $5,300 for three-bedroom penthouses. Amenities include a 24-hour concierge, valet services, clubroom with billiards table and flat-screen televisions, conference room, fitness center, theater and yoga studio, to name a few. The development also includes 12,000 square feet of ground-level retail and a 10-story parking deck for residents, shoppers and the adjacent DoubleTree Suites hotel.
