CHICAGO-The proprietor of the Columbus Plaza, an apartment tower consisting of 533 units on the Chicago River, has refinanced the property with a loan of $55 million and has sold an underground commercial space spanning nearly 40,000 square feet to the Hyatt Regency Chicago. An affiliate of Chicago-based Habitat Co. has recently closed the seven-year loan for the property from Fannie Mae.
