BALTIMORE-The Baltimore Development Corp. has said that city officials are planning to turn a closed firehouse situated in Seton Hill in downtown Baltimore into a shop or cafe with apartments or offices above. The BDC is looking for proposals from developers in order to redevelop the two-story, 5,200-square-foot building at 700 N. Eutaw St.

From 1860 to 1991, the firehouse was occupied by Engine Company No. 7 and it was closed in 1991. From 2004 to 2009, Baltimore Station had leased the building. For the full story, go to Baltimore Sun.
