SEATTLE-Sam Zell's Equity Residential has acquired a 93-year-old office building situated on the downtown Seattle waterfront. The six-story building, located at University Street and Western Avenue, may complement the firm's Harbor Steps apartment complex situated a block away.
According to county records, Equity purchased the building from Seattle-based Goodman Real Estate for $11.75 million. A broker familiar with the assets said that the seller intended to add apartments to the building, but now the new owner may have similar ideas.For the full story, go to Seattle Times.
