WASHINGTON, DC-Construction of the long-stalled CityCenter DC, a mixed-use development spanning 10 acres in Washington, DC, will commence from April 4, 2011. Developer Hines-Archstone has completed the deal with the District and now takes control over the site through a 99-year ground lease.

Developer has secured a private funding for the $950 million development, which will comprise 330,000-square-foot retail area, 1 million-square-foot office space, nearly 670 housing units, a hotel with 350 to 400 units and a 2,400-vehicle parking lot.For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal.
