DOWNERS GROVE, IL-Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, based in Hartford, CT, represented Highland V-CPF LLC in the purchase of Highland Landmark V, an eight-story office building here in the Highland Landmark Office Park. Opus Development Corp. sold the building, which is 100% occupied by DeVry Inc. and Dover Corp.
The 251,235-square-foot property was built in 2008. The complex is at the southeast corner of Interstate 88 and Highland Avenue with five office buildings in the 1.3-million-square-foot park, which are owned by separate entities. The sale price of Highland V was undisclosed, but the similar 275,197-square-foot Highland III building sold in February. Wells Real Estate Funds paid out a partner for full ownership of the building for about $65 million, sources say.
Dave Everson, VP and general manager with Opus, represented his firm in the transaction. In a statement, Everson says the both DeVry and Dover use the building as headquarters. Cornerstone could not be reached for comment on this story.
